What is Buti Yoga?

Buti® classes utilize spiral structure technique® to facilitate the release + toning of the body – physical, emotional and energetic. Through primal movement, dynamic asana and cardio-sprints, students breakdown the emotional barriers that hold them back from achieving self-love and true human connection. Music guides our classes like an internal GPS – no more 8 counts or reps. The beat blended movement forces you out of your head and INTO YOUR BODY. It is in THIS magical place that you integrate your human experience instead of escape it. All formats incorporate elements of shaking + vibration to help release stored trauma and stimulate cellular reorganization.

The movement principles in Buti help students integrate their emotional, physical and energetic experience. This integration helps students tap into their inner power, unleash unshakable confidence, uncover true desire and bond with others instead of compete. Intentional vibration and grounding techniques help clear stagnant energy and revitalize the body allowing each student to shift their perception of the world around them.

What does Buti mean?

Buti is an Indian Marathi word that means “a cure that has been hidden or kept secret.” It was initially used in reference to Ayurvedic herbs considered jadi buti. In Buti, we believe the only true cure comes from within. The practice of Buti helps people strip away the layers that hide this cure and bring about total transformation.

What is the Spiral Structure Technique®?

The SST is a unique strengthening approach that trains the muscles of the core using opposing muscle pairs. Most training methods approach core strengthening from a linear perspective. This leads to the overtraining of certain abdominal muscles while neglecting many important back muscles and deep stabilizing muscles of the abdomen. When we talk about SST, it is important to note that the core muscles are broken into two categories: the Inner Unit and the Outer Unit. The Inner Unit is responsible for stability while the Outer Unit is primarily responsible for moving the body directionally. Buti Yoga works the muscles of the core using SST to ensure maximum core strengthening, tone, look and injury prevention.
